I was delighted and honoured last week to be invited to join the board of CAFBA, (the Commercial and Asset Finance Brokers Association of Australia).
CAFBA is the peak professional body that represents Commercial and Asset Finance Brokers across Australia.
What does CAFBA do?
As the peak body CAFBA:
- Works with government and regulators on matters related to commercial and asset finance
- Keeps members up to date with changes within the industry and legislation
- Advocates on behalf of members
- Delivers education programs specially tailored for the commercial and asset finance broking industry
- Hosts women’s networking events
- Provides Professional Development days for Brokers
- Promotes diversity in the industry
- Runs an Awards Program to recognise leading Brokers in our industry

Why you should join CAFBA!
The past couple of years have been particularly challenging for our industry. A situation that is unlikely to change in the near term.
In these circumstances, it is important to have a body such as CAFBA to advocate on behalf of its members – to ensure our voice is heard, to keep us abreast of changes in legislation and provide education.
Having specialised in the field of Asset Finance for over 20 years, and being a business owner, I am excited by this opportunity and am looking forward to using my experience, for the benefit of the organisation and its members.
