Helping businesses, and people, on their journey is what I truly enjoy and find fulfilling.
My background is in finance. I worked for one of Australia’s major Banks for many years in different leadership roles, within:
- Human Resources
- The Business sector
It was a role I loved, particularly working with business owners and being exposed to many different industries and changing business environments. I also enjoyed learning about business and what was needed if you truly wanted to succeed.
Post banking, I embarked on a journey of learning with an increasing focus on marketing, communication and e-marketing. I also quickly realised, whilst I knew a lot about finance and sales, there was an enormous amount I needed to learn about the joys and challenges of running your own business!
It has been an exciting, and an exceptionally rewarding experience!
Since leaving the Bank, I have worked with over 1500 businesses in:
- My own business
- Through the Small Business Mentoring Service
- Delivering workshops on behalf of both Small Business Victoria and The Small Business Institute
Through the Small Business Mentoring Service, I was also involved in disaster recovery, assisting businesses in Kinglake and Maryville post the 2009 bushfires. In this role I came to appreciate how giving and incredibly resilient Australians are when faced with extreme circumstances.
Post the bushfire recovery work, I became involved with the amazing 500 Group team! This involvement gradually increased as the business evolved, to the point where I now have come on board to be part of their journey!
I am looking forward to helping the team and clients navigate the world of finance and achieve what is important in their lives!
Outside of work I enjoy:
- Time spent with family and friends
- Learning and personal development
- Sport – AFL – Originally from Western Australia I am a raving West Coast Eagles fan
