The 500 Group has an exciting full-time Residential Mortgage Broker opportunity available for an experienced Mortgage Broker.

We are a multi-award-winning Finance Broking business that services the commercial, mortgage and equipment finance sectors.

Residential Mortgage Broker Opportunity - Location

Due to COVID-19 we have been successfully operating virtually – a positive experience for both the team and our clients.

Meetings and regular catch ups are currently held via Zoom.

In time, we will look to utilise business premises (potentially in the eastern suburbs), but this will only be for one or two days per week, or for client meetings if needed.

It is therefore important the successful applicant for this Residential Mortgage Broker opportunity is self-motivated and able to work independently.

Our team focus means support & training will be available as needs dictate.

Key Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

  • Delivery of high-quality customer service to clients and Referral Partners both during and post the application process
  • Undertaking in-depth Needs Analysis to understand client requirements
  • Completing financial analysis to understand clients’ debt servicing capacity and identify potential solutions
  • Delivering finance solutions tailored to client circumstances and objectives
  • Managing the loan process from the initial enquiry through to settlement keeping clients and key stakeholders informed
  • Ensuring client files maintained to meet compliance benchmarks
  • Maintaining and developing your network of Referral Partners

Qualifications and Experience

To be the successful applicant for this Residential Mortgage Broker opportunity you will:

  • Possess great personal values and be highly team orientated
  • Have at least 5 years’ experience as a Residential Mortgage Broker (Or 3 years if you have previously worked for a major Bank)
  • Hold a Diploma of Finance and Mortgage Broking or equivalent
  • Be persistent, solution orientated, and possess a customer centric mindset
  • Have an-depth knowledge of residential finance products, CRM systems and processes
  • Possess sound analytical skills
  • Have sound verbal and written communication skills. Proven ability to negotiate and influence
  • Be highly organised, able to plan and quickly adapt in a fast-paced work environment
  • Have an established network of Introducers be able to generate your own business, in addition to referrals from the team
